Photodegradation of Methylene Blue and Evans Blue by Iron and Sulphur Doped TiO2 Nanophotocatalyst under Ultraviolet and Visible Light Irradiation

Abstract. This research firstly aims to fabricate and characterize doped TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) by iron Sulphur dopants, then the determination of photocatalytic activity NPs. Titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP), trichloride hexahydrate, thiouria, glacial acetic are utilized as precursors in hydrothermal method without using a template or surfactant. The synthesized NPs investigated X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), transmission (TEM), N2 adsorption-desorption, UV-Vis spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance (DRS) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). lattice constants, strain, stress, deformation energy density crystallite size Williamson-Hall (W-H) Wagner-Halder models considering different isotropic nature crystalline lattice. analysis indicates tetragonal anatase phase dopant phases. FE-SEM TEM images reveal granular shape with mean diameter about 35 nm. Decoloration photodegradation organic dyes such methylene blue (MB) Evans Blue (EV) under irradiation is measure results indicate significant effect dopants on NPs, so that comparison other studies, it has higher performance removal efficiency. bandgap estimated from Kubelka-Munk theory be 2.87 eV. 
 Resumen. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo fabricar y caracterizar nanopartículas de (NP) dopadas con hierro azufre, la actividad fotocatalítica las NP. El tetraisopropóxido titanio el tricloruro hexahidratado, tiouria, acético fueron los precursores en síntesi según método hidrotermal no se utilizó una plantilla o tensioactivo. Las NP sintetizadas caracterizaron por difracción rayos X microscopía electrónica emisión campo espectroscopía dispersión energía transmisión adsorción-desorción N2, espectroscopías UV-Vis, reflectancia difusa e infrarroja transformada constantes red, deformación, tensión, densidad deformación tamaño cristal investigan utilizando modelos (W-H), considerando diferente naturaleza isotrópica red cristalina. análisis indica fase anatasa sin fases cristalinas dopantes. imágenes revelan forma NP, un diámetro promedio aproximadamente La decoloración fotodegradación tintes orgánicos azul metileno bajo irradiación es para medir dopadas.
